After listing his home for $650,000 last week, the former Mars Hill pastor may have already found a buyer.
After resigning from Mars Hill last month, charismatic church co-founder Mark Driscoll has decided to sell his longtime residence. The evangelical pastor — described by The Seattle Times as “the edgy, blue-jeaned, hipster preacher” — listed his Montlake home last week for $650,000.
A sale is already pending.
Located in the University of Washington’s backyard, the home is a quintessential Seattle craftsman near the Montlake Cut connecting Lake Washington to Puget Sound. While nothing flashy, it’s a classic 1920s construction with formal living and dining rooms, hardwood floors and built-ins.
The 7-bedroom, 3-bath residence housed Driscoll and his family for 14 of the 18 years he pastored Mars Hill. During that time, the church expanded to more than a dozen campuses in five states.
