Let’s take a quick look at today’s prophecy-related headlines which point towards the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ and the end of the world as we know it.
1. A two-day Arab summit ended on Sunday with a vow to defeat Iranian-backed Shiite rebels in Yemen and the formal unveiling of plans to form a joint Arab intervention force, setting the stage for a potentially dangerous clash between U.S.-allied Arab states and Tehran over influence in the region.
2. Wrapping up six days of marathon nuclear talks with mixed results, Iran and six world powers prepared Tuesday to issue a general statement agreeing to continue talks in a new phase aimed at reaching a final agreement to control Iran’s nuclear ambitions by the end of June.
3. A powerful earthquake rattled the South Pacific nation of Papua New Guinea on Monday, generating a small tsunami and frightening locals near the epicenter, but prompting no reports of damage or injuries.
4. The European Union has decided to keep Hamas on its terrorism blacklist despite a controversial court decision ordering Brussels to remove the Palestinian Islamist group from the register.
5. The United States is increasingly concerned about training by Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards for the rebels in Yemen, where the Shi’ite militias continue to make territorial gains despite airstrikes by neighboring Saudi Arabia.

The prophetic passage of Scripture we are looking at today is Deuteronomy 30:11-14 which reads: “For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off. It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.”
Our second coming quote for today is from John Darby. He said: “Nothing is more prominently brought forward in the New Testament than the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.”
