Alfonso Bernard Jr., son of influential Brooklyn pastor Rev. A.R. Bernard of the Christian Cultural Center, died on February 4th after suffering a severe asthma attack. He was 39. Bernard Jr. was a talented chef who ran a catering company used by politicians and celebrities, and he frequently donated extra food to homeless shelters. He is survived by his wife, Janel, and his four children, ages 18, 17, 14 and 5.
The funeral service will be held at Christian Cultural Center on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 7:30 PM (Eastern). The church website has a countdown for a service this evening on their live streaming page with a holding image titled “Funeral Services for Alfonso R. Bernard Jr.”
