The Israeli government honored Myles Munroe on Thursday evening in Jerusalem for his “ongoing contribution to the Jewish state.”
Munroe, who headed Bahamas Faith Ministries International (BFMI) and Myles Munroe International, and his wife Ruth, were killed in a plane crash in November.
Tourism Minister Uzi Landau presented the Knesset Christian Allies Caucus and World Jewish Congress award to his son, Myles Munroe Jr., and daughter Charisa during its ninth annual event called a “Night to Honor Our [Notes:Israel’s] Christian Allies.”
Christian Allies Caucus Director Josh Reinstein said Munroe was courageous and had the “heart of a lion.”
“Myles Monroe was a true Israeli hero. He stood up unabashedly in a lot of countries where it’s not popular to talk on behalf of Israel and say that he loves Israel; he loves the people of Israel; he loves the God of Israel; he loves the Bible of Israel,” Reinstein told CBN News.
“And because of that he’s just left such an impact on the government of Israel, the State of Israel, and its people,” Reinstein said.
